11-9-10 - I am thankful that this Daniel Term Paper is almost done. After Thursday, I will feel so much better having turned this in!
I am thankful for a great day of classes and work.
I am thankful for God's promises. Even when friends fail me, God NEVER will. He is the ultimate friEND who really will be with me to the End. When I struggle with feeling rejected, I can turn to Him. Jesus understands what I go through, after all, when He was crucified the entire world and God turned their backs on Him. That is something I can not imagine ever going through and praise be to God alone for the comforting thought that I never will go through that anguish.
I am thankful for the AMAZING weather we have been having. Seriously, how often is it that on November 9th it is 70 degrees out and I can wear shorts?!?!
I am thankful for the fallen leaves. Love the smell of fall. Love the crunch under my feet. Love the sound of them blowing across the sidewalks and roads. =>
I am thankful for my dorm suite. Its been such fun getting to know Jayme and ShayLynn and just the time that we can have together challenging one another and having fun together.
I am thankful for my flexibility. The most common questions when people enter our room are 1)how did you get your bed so high?! and 2)how do you get up there!? I love being able to sprawl out on the floor to do homework, sit in what appears to be uncomfortable positions, climb to get where I need to be etc...
I am thankful for my dad taking the time to teach me to fix things on my own. I know how to change a bike tire (and car tire), put cabinet doors back on (or just tighten them up), change any kind of lightbulb, and just plain work hard (among many many other things).
I am also thankful for my mom who taught me how to crochet, cook, clean, do random repairs on the vacuum cleaner, make do with what I have, and so much more.
I am thankful for dorm and suite devotions. Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings are usually greatly anticipated.
I am thankful for Kyle who somehow manages to touch base right when I need it most. He takes time out of his crazy busy schedule just to say hey and it means a whole lot more to me than almost any other person talking to me for 10 minutes about absolutly nothing ;)
I am thankful for rules to follow, even when I often complain about them. I do understand the great benefit they have and without them...yah, it wouldn't be good. =>
Well, off to devos!!
