Chocolate Breakfast!

This year, Dana and I decided to go the the free chocolate breakfast in Des Moines. We got up at 4:30 and headed out. Erin Short joined us for the fun and we got to HyVee Conference Center right around 5 when it started. We didn't anticipate haveing such a big line (im not sure why..lol) but we were able to make it thru the whole thing and make it back in time for our 7:00 classes. Dana and I agreed at about 7:30 that we had eaten entirely too much chocolate, but that it was definatly worth it. We were given a bag to put all the goodies in that we didn't want to eat right then and we still have quite a bit of leftovers.

At one booth (neither of us can remember which one!), we tried the chocolate that was offered and it was really good and we were talking a little bit about it. The guy at the booth asked if we liked dark choc or milk choc better, to which Dana promptly responded that dark was the best. He asked us to wait a moment and started looking for something in all the suppiles under the tables. He gave us each another piece of chocolate that was "lighter but with a hint of raspberry." He waited for us to eat it and asked our honest opinon to which we replied that it was even better than the first! Again, he asked us to wait for a moment and then grabbed something else from under the table. This time it was a tray of dark chocolate bars still sealed and Dana and I both expected him to open it and give us each a small piece to taste. Instead, he put the whole thing in our bag!



The people behind us in line made a few comments about it and the whole thing made our entire day! Wow! Definatly was a great morning. Dana and I were so hyper the entire way back and for about the first 20 minutes of Western Civ. At about 11:30, we both admitted that we were feeling really sleepy..well our eyes anyway..the rest of us was still trying to bounce off the walls lol! Definatly a great morning and we will probably go back next year!
