Two weeks till graduation!!!

"Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” – Hosea 6:3

I really do not have time to be blogging right now..but this is much more exciting than doing homework..

I don't even know where to begin it has been so long since I have blogged! I decided that I will for sure be staying in Ankeny this summer and will continue working for the Fays. I am so excited as are they. However, I do not yet have a place to live....that could be quite interesting. =>

A few weeks ago, Dana and I bought some flowers and planted them in a big pot to keep in our room. They were so beautiful! However, they have mostly died off now...

The same day that we planted the flowers I was babysitting Ty who was so busy smiling at us he could hardly eat. Such a cutie!

Last weekend I helped out with Ankeny S.O.S. and had a blast. It was hard work, but I am glad that I did go help. It was a windy, overcast day but the sun did eventually come out. I ended up being a leader of a group of girls, which was very fun. We bagged wet, cold leaves and sticks, raked yards, spread mulch, and dug up some massive roots from what appeared to be rose bushes (the kind with the really little roses).
(I have no idea what this was, but it was a very slimy and very looonng root that came out in one pull)
(this was one of the 15ish bags we filled full of leaves)

After that was finished, I drove 45 mins to meet my parents half way between Grundy and Faith and we swapped cars so Dad could work on my brakes. (I actually would much rather have a van than my car...the kids are more spread out in it and thus they do not fight as much..and it gets great mph!)

As soon as I got back from doing that, I packed my bag and drove to meet Tanya, David and Mrs Hearn at David and Tanya's new townhome and we went to Mason City for the weekend. Kris' birthday was Sunday and we went to church, out to eat, played hand and foot, went back to church and just had a fun weekend.

This week has been really busy. Lots of homework, many other things going on outside of school, work, etc. Thursday night is normally the night that we go out for outreach, but this week Mr Binner treated us to a baseball game, my first one ever. It was a bit chilly and misty out, but it was a blast. There were not many fans that showed up for this Iowa Cubs game so the boys got a bit rouwdy toward the end and had a great time entertaining us four girls as well as the other fans who were within hearing. =>

This weekend is Easter and Dana and I are going home. It should be fun, but I do have lots of homework to do...and speaking of homework..I really should get started on it.

Oh yes, work is going very well. We had a few really nice days a few weeks back and one day Dylan and I were able to go to the park, just us two, and have some fun. Unfortunatly there were too many other kids there so I was unable to play with him, but I had fun watching him and taking pictures!
