I feel like I can never keep up! Once again, I haven't kept everything up to date on here. And once again, this post will mainly be explaining the pictures I have taken the past...month or so. But hey, pictures are far more enjoyable than just boring words..right? So let the photo album begin!
First of all, science projects and crafts
1) Pour a very small amount of milk (I used whole milk,
but 2% would work too) in a dish (I used a plate cuz all you
need is enough to cover the bottom).
2) Add a few drops of food coloring. The more colors the better!
(I didn't have any red so the painting wasn't as neat as it could be)
I found this on some blog and thought it looked easy and fun..so we tried it. And I was right. It was super easy and really neat!
3) Add a few drops of "good" dish soap |
4) Watch it make a "spin art" right before your eyes! |
Its really pretty cool. The fat in the mild reacts to the dish soap (or the other way around) and everything just starts moving around. So cool! |
The second thing Ashlee really really wanted to do was to paint a picture. So I found a recipe for kid friendly paint (aka edible paint..just in case) and gave each kid some paint and a picture. The only depressing thing was that as the pictures dried, they curled up =( Oh well. It was fun while it lasted!
Keagyn was pretty unsure of it at first.. |
But then he decided it was quite fun! |
Ty didn't really do a whole lot..just spread it out a little bit and then was done. |
Ashlee obviously enjoyed it a lot! |
Ty's artwork.. |
Maddie came home after school and wanted to paint a pumpkin.. |
Keagyn's masterpiece.. |

Keagyns 2nd masterpiece |
Ashlee and I continue to work on reading, writing, and cooking skills. She loves it and I kinda enjoy it myself. :)
The boys are constantly teaching each other new things..some of which is cute..some of which I wish neither did. Oh well, it was bound to happen. The single most difficult thing is getting the boys to take a nap on Wednesdays. Wednesday is the only day of the week that Ashlee doesn't have school so we don't leave the house until almost 3 thus eliminating the ease of letting the van work its magic and put them to sleep. =)
Keagyn is used to being rocked to sleep and Ty is used to being either rocked to sleep or laying next to someone to go to sleep in a bed. I used to be able to sit in the chair and rock them both to sleep at the same time, but they are far too wiggly now and I don't have enough hands to keep them in my lap as well as keep them from hitting and kicking each other. This last Wednesday, I tried putting one in the pack-n-play and the other on the futon with me. That sorta of worked..well at least they weren't screaming..they just talked to each other. It was going fine until one started falling asleep (and stopped talking) and then the other started screaming. I eventually had them both on the futon and they fell asleep..on one the right end, one on the left, and the dog in the middle. (of course, by this time it was almost 2:30 so then I had to move them to the van to go get the other kids from school lol)

One day, I was finding clothes for Keagyn up in Maddies room and the boys found her baby dolls and just sat there playing and playing. I knew she didn't really want them to play with her toys, but it was just too funny to watch.. =)
My favorite picture of them yet. We were waiting for Keagyn's daddy to come and the boys were restless inside the gym so we decided to go to the van and have a snack and watch all the big trucks =) |

Lil musician.. |
Little Miss turned 5 on the 15th! |
Im not sure why, but one day Ty decided to fill the toilet with toilet paper... I knew it would happen eventually..glad he hasn't repeated it! |
My parents are moving to Colorado and brought me a bunch of toys and games. Ashlee's favorite is Light Bright =) |
Keagyn just has to do everything that Ty does..including throwing away diapers. =) |
Ashlee and I taught the boys to play corn hole! They were pretty good at it too =) |
Usually on the way to work I don't see any of the sun, but this particular day I saw it rising and pushing all the gloomy clouds away! YAY! |
Ty loves to play dress up...especially with socks and shoes... |
He knows where all the shoes, hats, and gloves are kept too! |
Paytons shoes and Maddies socks are his favorite |
fancy gloves..
I know there have been many many cute sayings, but I haven't written them all down. =( The few things I can remember are as follows.
One day Ashlee called me saying "Berta can you come help me with this? It kinda hard for a child to do..."
Driving by a house with cool halloween decorations Ashlee said in a very whinny voice "I really really really want those pumpki....woah! those are NOT pumpkins" (I still have no clue what she was talking about!)
Dylan "Today was a terrible day at school. My shoe broke"
The next day, Dylan "Today was a great day at school! I had extra chocolate that I didn't really want so I gave to to my teacher cuz girls like chocolate!"
Ty to Uncle Jon.."JJJJJJJJJJJ" (apparently JJ and Jon look alike..)
Keagyn "uh OH" so cute!
Ty hiding in the curtains "where Ty? peek boo!"
Dylan asked Ashlee what color his yellow skittle was..she looked at it for a bit and replied "bananas are yellow"
