well, we didn't get a picture taken of the three of us this year. for one, rebecca didn't come because she had to work at walmart and two, i totally forgot about it! it was a good day. we were all able to sit at one (well, two) tables in one room for the first time in several years. we did bring up memories of Grandma and Uncle Buzz, but we made it through. Isaiah had us do this little thing that made us think bout what we are thankful for. I was pretty skeptical of it at first, but thankful that we did get to talk about stuff a bit. Friday, Jonathan and I got up early (5:00ish) and did a little shopping. It was mostly just for fun and not really trying to get any good deals lol. I have some good pictures Ill have to upload => The rest of Friday was pretty boring. Saturday we left around 1 to go to Great Grandpa and Grandma's and visit them and more family for a bit, then we went to Des Moines to the Festival of Trees. That was pretty fun and Rebecca was able to join us for that. Afterwards we went to Mc D's for some snacks and to just chat. Thomas was able to come home with us that night just so I wouldn't be so bored lol It was interesting. Sunday we went to SS and church and then after lunch Thomas and I went to the Clarks for some COD6 and other random stuff with the other teens from the church. It was great. :D Arlene Eckhoff wasn't doing well at all (mom had told me when I first got home that she was doing very poorly when she and Jonathan took her to an appointment earlier in the week) In church, Pastor mentioned that the hospital had called him and said she wasn't doing well so Mom and Dad went to see her. She had many visitors on Sunday and today and went to be with her Saviour this afternoon. Its so sad to hear of another long time church member leaving this earth, but at the same time, she is rejoicing with her Lord now, so how could we ever be sad? I have learned so much about death in the past months and although it is painful at times, I am glad for what I have learned. I have attended 4 funerals in six months...my boss has got to be wondering if I'm telling the truth anymore. :D
On a brighter note, only two weeks till break..course Im staying her in ankeny to work, but it will be a good break from school. However, that also means that finals is just one week away. I currently have 2 study guides filled out (or as much as i can anyway) and only have four more left to do! lol...and then for the studying =< still have one small paper due on Wednesday over a book, in which I still have four chapters left to read. ( you may ask, then what am i doing on the computer?? this is my much needed break :D) ok, back to studying. Hope you all have a great week and keep ur chin up!!
