Day 24

11-24-10 - I am thankful to be home!!!

I am thankful for the fun I have had at home making jello, 4 pies, cutting up veggies, talking with my brother and the rest of my family and just hanging out.

I am thankful for a long weekend.

I am thankful that my whole family will be able to be together this year for Thanksgiving Day!!

I am thankful for safety on the roads that could have been icy but were just fine.

I am thankful for "my" kids. My alarm went off reminding me to get out of my car and go up to get them from school (cept I didn't work today, but I forgot to tell my phone that) and it made me miss them => I thought of a fun story from Dylan and Maddie today. I had taken off my ring to trace my hand for the Christmas tree we made the other day and Maddie asked whose ring it was. I told her it was mine and she asked who I was married to. I told her I wasn't and could tell she was confused so added that I could still wear a ring even if I wasn't married. Dylan pipped up and said, "Yah and then when she does get married, she will have two rings!"
Berta: Do you think Ill get married, Dylan?
Dylan: Yes, you are going to marry your boyfriend at college.
Berta: *laughing* I don't have a boyfriend at college. So maybe I won't get married.
Dylan: Yah, you will.
Berta: How do you know?
Dylan: Well.....
Maddie: Cuz she is pretty?
Dylan: *very quietly* No... the other one.
Maddie: Wisper it to me
Dylan: *wispering* beautiful
Maddie: Ooh! He said cuz you're beautiful.
Dylan: Yah because some guy is going to come along and see her beautiful and want to marry her.

Totally made my day. =>

I have so many pictures I have taken since I have been home and I can't wait to post them. Unfortunatly, the internet here is too slow to upload any photos so it will have to wait until I am back at my other home. For now, I sure hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and remember the true reason we celebrate this day.
