Month of Thankfulness

This month I would like to try to post every day with at least one thing that I am thankful for. Since Im starting this late, i will have to back-post for the first few days.

11-1-10 - I am thankful for Bible Conference and all the amazing speakers. This naturally leads me to be thankful for God's Word and for the Amazing God that I serve. How wonderful it is to be told over and over again that God is my refuge and to take shelter in Him!!

11-2-10 - I am thankful for the opportunity to serve. I love serving at my church here and my one back home. Today was the first meeting of mom's of preschoolers at my church here and I was able to help out with the childcare. One thing I really miss since I do not work in a daycare anymore is gettting to hold sleeping babies. Love. It. I am also extremely thankful for my family. I can't say that I ever thought I could truly say that or ever want to say that, but its true. This year I have missed my family so much. Maybe its because I know that God is in control and He has complete power to take them out of my life just as He has to bless me with new members of my family. I was able to go home for a few minutes today (forgot to request an absentee ballot so I had to make a very hurried trip home to vote) and I miss it a lot. I am also thankful for my job. I love the three kiddos that I take care of every day. I can't imagine a time when I didn't know them! And this job was totally of God! I didn't even know this family before I applied for the job and its worked out really really well.

11-3-10 - Again, I am thankful for Bible Conference. So many good thoughts have been shared and I really should write them down... I am thankful for the "extra" time I have even though it really isnt that much but it feels like it! Im thankful for my roommate, Dana Kincaid. Things were a bit rough at the beginning of this year, but its going well now. I love the way we help each other grow and really just sharpen one another like Proverbs 27:17 says. I am thankful for the comfort she is when I am going through a really rough time and I hope that I can do the same for her.

I could just keep going and going with this and that is so cool!! I was just going to sit down and type of three things really fast... lol I do need to get a move on my homework though... Oh, but one more thing, Im thankful that I have a date for sadie hawkins lol Its been an interesting semester, let me tell you! I decided to ask someone really really random. I even wrote him a poem and everything! So unlike me, but I guess it worked because he said yes! We will be going to a hockey game on this Saturday (after Rosanna's bridal shower! wow! my sister is getting married NEXT MONTH! I will have another brother - not that I don't already consider him my brother..). Ok this is getting random which means its time for me to stop. Ill post again tomorrow!!
