Happy things/places

I was thinking yesterday (yes, I actually do that occasionally) about life and other random things and decided that currently, my two top things are to work at Woolverton (crazy huh? my favorite thing is to work...and not just any work, but hard work! work that leaves me sore for the next two days, work that cuts my hands all up, work that often leaves me sweating after only a few minutes...) and sliding across the fresh snow in my snowboots that have no traction whatsoever! So much fun!

I had to opportunity to go to Woolverton and work for 5+ hours on Saturday and just ask those I talked to that day, I was ecstatic!! I actually had my camera (ok, so it is Dana's camera) in my pocket and took about 20 picutres of just a few things in Woolverton. Once I figure out how to get them on my computer I am going to fill you in on all the details (that you probably don't care to know anyway).

The whole reason I went home this weekend was to celebrate birthdays. My dad's birthday was on Friday and my brother's was on Sunday. We threw him a not-so-surprising surprise bowling party. It was fun, yet also a bit of a let-down. Rosanna was babysitting so she brought all the kids along and my sister and her family came so there were quite a few lil ones around. Also, we invited the youth group, but all the guys were busy so the only ones that came were 4 of the girls. Sweet. What a great 18th birthday party. Just for the record, I love my brother very much and think he deserved way better than that, but being the great kid (ok, adult now) that he is, he didn't complain and enjoyed it while it lasted. I seriously cannot wait unti he comes to school here! He teaches me so much just by his example and doesn't even know it.

It was quite a bummer that I had to be back in Ankeny for Sunday School on Jonathan's actual birthday. I got up at like 6:50 and headed back to Ankeny Sunday morning so that I could fulfill my responsibilities as an assistant with the 2/3's Sunday School class. They were pretty rambunctious so it is a good thing that I came back, but I still would have loved to be with Jon.

But, back to the daily grind of things now. I have a Western Civilizations II test on Wednesday and I really need to study. Im horrible at history and such =< Almost failed the first class of Western Civ and so far Im not doing so hot on the daily quizes... I got a 4, yes, a four!, on my quiz this morning. I even studied and did the reading (good thing, since just doing the reading is worth two of those four points). Just a little bummed about that, but I refuse to let it ruin my day. =>

*Im so happy, im so happy, im so happy happy happy happy happy happy happy. Im so happy, Im so happy, cuz Jesus is a friend of mine!* (random song that has been stuck in my head since Sunday school lool - and yah, its sorta like "lol" but better. stands for laughs obnoxiously out loud)
