What a busy and incredibly fun week! This week Keagyn (11 months) has had many firsts :)He has figured out how to stand up by himself and has even taken his first steps!

He is growing so fast! Before we know it, he is going to be a year old. Tuesday was the kids last day of summer break so JJ and I took the five kids (Payton wanted to stay home and play with a friend) to Big Creek for a day of fun. We left around 11:30 and didn't get back til almost 5. I packed a picnic lunch and JJ brought wood and fire so we could roast hot dogs. The kids loved the playground there and also loved playing in the sand and water (great combination there). After a few hours of that, we packed everything up and moved to a different spot and JJ took the kids fishing for their first time! They were sooo excited!

Dylan was the most excited but I guess he was a bit scared to actually fish because he thought he would catch a fish that was too big for him to pull in. =) Once they were satisfied that they had actually fished (even though no fish were caught), JJ somehow managed to teach the three older ones to skip rocks and they had a blast! By time we got back home, they were all worn out. It was kinda funny. Wednesday marked the first day back at school, including the first day for Payton at middle school. Things sure seem different without the school-agers around!
Soon enough college will be starting and it will be my first year to not be in school. Most people are probably excited when that time comes for them but I actually wish that I was going back to school. :) I love the schedule, the learning, even the homework (the tests not quite as much). Most of all I miss being surrounded by people my age who share my beliefs and I miss the opportunities to interact with the various professors and staff at Faith too. Sure I am close enough to the school that I will probably be over there 5 times a week, but its not the same. But that is how life works, isn't it? I mean, if life just stayed the same year to year, how many of us would actually ever grow up and think of how our spiritual lives would be? There would be a whole lot less depending on God and lots more depending on self (not like there isn't already a problem with how that balances out in my own life especially).
To catch up on life since I last wrote, I graduated from Faith in May and began watching 5 kids full time (Payton 11, Maddie 8, Dylan 7, Keagyn 11mo Fay and Ashlee 4 Brown).

About a month ago I began watching my nephew (20mo) as well. Life is busy, but not usually hectic or crazy (although there sure are moments!) and I love it. JJ and I have been dating for almost 9 months now and each month has brought many good things (although getting to those good things isn't always easy :).

Well the kids are waking up and ready to eat. Maybe Ill find time to write again in a few months lol

(maybe someday I will figure out how to actually make my posts look halfway decent and even put captions with the pictures..but for now..well, enjoy lol)
